Courier Chess is a 12x8 board variant of chess probably created in the 12th century, Germany. (wikipedia page)

Our pieces design is based on an old painting from Lucas van Leyden (1508) and the work of Rick Knowlton (http://www.courierchess.com).

The archive: File:CourierChessSet.zip

The archive includes:

  • an image for the 2D skin pieces sprites
  • for each 3D piece, a sub folder including:
    • the mesh: a threejs file (JSON) to be loaded by the game. This file defines the mesh with its UVs.
    • a diffuse map: an image texture for the diffuse channel
    • a normal map: an image texture for the normal channel
